Bush-to-Base Bioinformatics
Through the support of a National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award, Dr. Taranjit Kaur launched her Bush-to-Bioinformatics (B2B) Program. B2B’s goal is to use a "holistic" approach to advancing science through interdisciplinary studies and integrating research and education in a global context. B2B engages faculty and students from different disciplines for studies on the dynamic interrelationships between the three key dimensions of life:
- animals
- people
- and the environment

B2B’s Mission
The mission of B2B is to bridge the gaps by bringing the sophistication of advanced scientific research to bear upon field studies. B2B strives to engage a diverse group comprised of well-trained and globally-oriented faculty and students to promote conservation and quality of life in the 21st century.
